Josh

After four years of dedicated study, I graduated from the University of Hertfordshire with an undergraduate degree in Sports Therapy. One of the highlights of my academic journey was a placement year with Brentford Football Club, where I had the opportunity to work closely with both the first team and B team.

After graduating, I ventured into the world of sports therapy, starting at a private MSK clinic while also working with a rugby team. My role involved providing pitchside game cover and running a weekly injury clinic for both the men's and women's teams.

I later worked as Lead Therapist at Charlton Athletic Football Club's youth academy. Here, I had the privilege of working alongside the U18 and U21 squads as well as managing and assisting the injured players in the youth academy. Leading a department focused on the rehabilitation of short-term and long-term injuries, I sought to contribute to the well-being of young athletes, while continuously refining my skills and expertise.

To further enrich my expertise, I also had the opportunity to shadow senior physiotherapists and surgeons. This experience provided invaluable insights into the nuances of elite sports therapy and private practice, enhancing my understanding and expertise in the field.

In order to further his knowledge, Josh is currently completing his master's degree in physiotherapy at the University of East Anglia.

This combination has provided him with a strong foundational understanding of physiotherapy which will complement the sporting experience he has gained since graduating.
